The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted a boy to hospital last night, after he was injured in a trail bike accident in the North Burnett.
It’s believed the primary school-aged boy had been riding his trail bike on a farm, when he crashed into a barbed wire fence.
The boy managed to walk to his father, at a shed on the property.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics attended the scene and transported him to a local hospital.
The aeromedical team then airlifted the boy to the Queensland Children’s Hospital, under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and a QAS Critical Care Flight Paramedic.
He was transported in a stable condition.
