The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown a man to hospital, after a motorbike and car collided in the Noosa region, this afternoon (Thursday 13 August).
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic were initially tasked to travel to the scene by road.
They met with local QAS paramedics to assist in treating the motorcyclist, while the pilot landed the helicopter at a nearby oval.
The patient was then transferred into the aircraft.
The man, aged in his 60s, was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
He suffered internal injuries.
