The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a teenage boy to hospital, after he reportedly fell down a mountain, in the Toowoomba region, this morning.
It’s believed the boy had been climbing with family, when he fell down a steep slope.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics and Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) officers were on the scene, when the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue aeromedical team arrived.
The teen was treated for significant lacerations and bruising to his body.
Due to the location of the incident, it was decided he would need to be winched from the scene.
The patient was hoisted to the helicopter, accompanied by a QAS Flight Paramedic.
The boy was flown to Toowoomba Hospital, in a stable condition.
