The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has landed on a sandbar, to airlift a man who fell from the back of a large boat, in the Gladstone region.
The rescue crew was tasked to the scene, north of Agnes Water, at 4:15pm today (Friday 21st August).
The pilot was able to land the chopper on a stretch of sand, near the boat.
The patient was loaded into a smaller vessel, to be ferried over to the aircraft, where a Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic started treatment.
The man, aged in his 50s, was flown to Bundaberg Hospital, with an arm injury.
He was in a stable condition.
