The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown a woman to hospital, after she was injured in a head-on car crash this afternoon (Tues 12th Jan).
The aeromedical team was sent to the scene, in the South Burnett, just after 3 o’clock.Â
It’s believed the woman, aged in her 20s, was travelling in a vehicle, which collided with another car, earlier in the afternoon.Â
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics, Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers and Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) personnel were all on the scene, when the rescue chopper arrived.Â
The female patient was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in a serious but stable condition, under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic.Â
The Brisbane-based Queensland Government Air helicopter also attended the scene.
