Woman airlifted after falling 5 metres from scaffolding

The Land Rover LifeFlight Special Mission helicopter has airlifted an injured woman to hospital, after she fell from scaffolding while painting her home, earlier today.
It’s believed the woman lost her balance and fell five metres to the ground, where she then crawled approximately 20 metres, to call for help.
The rescue chopper was called into action around 1pm.
Local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics initially treated the woman, at her property, in the Somerset region, before driving her to a nearby park to rendezvous with the aeromedical crew.
The woman, aged in her sixties, had suffered lower body injuries and was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
The Land Rover LifeFlight Special Mission helicopter performed this mission as it is currently, temporarily based on the Sunshine Coast, while the familiar blue and yellow RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter undergoes scheduled engineering.

The aircraft is part of LifeFlight Australia’s commercial operation, which supports the work of the community helicopter fleet, through our profit-for-purpose model and is rotated through our community bases from time to time, when operationally required.
