RACQ LifeFlight Rescue has airlifted a toddler to hospital, after a quad bike is believed to have rolled over him, during a crash on a private property this morning.
The little boy was riding on the machine with his father, who reportedly swerved to avoid a snake and then lost control of the vehicle.
It is feared the quad bike may have rolled over the child’s abdomen, during the crash.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) officers were first to treat the little boy at the scene, before transferring him to the Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter, which was tasked to the South Burnett incident around 11am.
The toddler, accompanied by his father, was flown in a stable condition to the Queensland Childrens Hospital in Brisbane for further diagnosis and treatment.
