The Land Rover LifeFlight Special Mission helicopter crew has airlifted a woman to hospital, after she was critically injured in a single vehicle crash, south-west of Bundaberg.
The rescue chopper, which is currently based on the Sunshine Coast, was sent to the scene just before 2:30pm (Saturday 27th Nov).
It’s believed the vehicle ran off the road and collided with a tree.
The woman, who is aged in her 60s, was reportedly trapped in the car for some time, before Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) firefighters were able to free her.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic worked alongside local QAS personnel, to treat the patient for traumatic injuries.
She was flown to Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital, in a critical condition.
