The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew has airlifted a seriously injured man to hospital after he crashed his motorbike.
The rescue chopper was tasked to the scene of the single motorbike incident, in the Sunshine Coast region, just after 9:30 this morning (Sunday, 13th March).
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue pilot was able to land on a stretch of road near where the crash occurred.
The aeromedical crew met with Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the patient for serious lower right leg injuries.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) personnel were also in attendance.
The man, who is aged in his 60s, was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition.
