Toowoomba’s RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a woman to hospital, after she was injured in a swimming pool in the Western Downs region.
The rescue helicopter was called to the scene at a farm, just after 7:15pm (Saturday 19th March).
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue pilot was able to land near the farm house, where the crew met with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics, who were the first to arrive at the property.
The woman, who is in her twenties, had suffered injuries to her back, but it’s unclear how the incident occurred.
The aeromedical crew, along with QAS paramedics, treated the patient for suspected spinal injuries, before she was airlifted to the Toowoomba base and then transported to Toowoomba Hospital via road by QAS in a stable condition.
