Brisbane’s RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a man to hospital, after he was injured in a motorbike incident in the Sunshine Coast region.
It’s believed the man, who is aged in his 50s, was riding his motorbike on a stretch of road, when he lost control and crashed.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew was tasked to assist, just after 2:30pm (Friday, 20th May).
The rescue chopper pilot was able to land the aircraft at a school oval near the scene, where the aeromedical team met with Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the patient for multiple injuries.
He was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
