RACQ LifeFlight Rescue joins search for missing man

The Mount Isa-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has joined a multi-agency search for a man, missing in North Queensland.

The rescue helicopter crew was called into action by the Queensland Police Service (QPS), around 8am today (Sunday, 25th September), after the man was reported missing by family on Friday.

Police investigations indicate he was last seen at a hotel in Pentland, which is located in the Charters Towers region, early last week.

It’s believed he may be hitchhiking from Pentland to Mount Isa.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue chopper crew flew along the Flinders Highway, in an attempt to locate the man, but after conducting an aerial search for most of the day, did not find any sign of him.

The missing man, who is aged in his 30s, is described as Caucasian, 183cm tall, with brown hair and green eyes.
