The Bundaberg RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has flown a man to hospital, after he was injured in a truck rollover in the Bundaberg region, this afternoon.
The driver was trapped in the cabin of the truck for more than an hour and a half.
The rescue chopper was tasked to assist shortly after midday (Sunday 5th March) and the pilot was able to land on the highway, which had been closed by Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers.
The aeromedical crew begun treating the man while he was still trapped, before he was released by Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) personnel.
The driver, aged in his 40s, was then airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition, for further treatment.
