The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a woman to hospital after a car crash north of Goondiwindi.
It’s believed the vehicle had veered off the highway and crashed into a tree.
The rescue aircraft was called into action around 8.30am and the pilot landed on the highway, which had been closed to traffic by Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers.
The aeromedical crew worked with Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the woman for injuries to her chest and legs.
The patient, aged in her 30s, was then flown to Toowoomba Hospital, in a serious condition.
