Bundaberg’s RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a woman to hospital, after she was seriously injured in a single vehicle crash, in the Fraser Coast region.
It’s believed the woman’s car veered off the side of the road and collided with a tree.
The rescue aircraft was tasked to the scene around 10am, and the pilot was able to land on the road, which had been closed to traffic by Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers.
The aeromedical team joined local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics in treating the woman for multiple injuries, including to her arms and head.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) personnel were also on scene.
The woman, aged in her 40s, was then loaded into the aircraft and flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
