Critically injured man airlifted to hospital after car rollover

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a man to hospital after he was critically injured in a car rollover in the Western Downs region overnight.

The aeromedical team was called into action at 7pm Saturday evening (14th Oct).

The pilot was able to safely land the rescue chopper in a nearby paddock close to the scene.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic joined local QAS paramedics in treating the patient.

The male driver, aged in his 30s, suffered head injuries.

He was airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
