The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a boy to hospital, after he was injured in a motorbike crash at a recreational park, this afternoon.
It’s believed he was flung over his handlebars, onto the track, after his motorcycle clipped another rider’s bike.
The rescue chopper was called to the scene, in the Somerset region, shortly before 2:30pm (Sunday 29th October).
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic worked alongside local QAS paramedics to treat the child for minor injuries.
The rider, who is of primary school age, was flown to Queensland Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
