The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a woman to hospital this afternoon, after she received flash burns when a barbeque exploded in her face.
It’s believed she was attempting to light the barbeque when the incident occurred.
The rescue chopper was tasked to the Balonne Shire at 11.45am.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics treated the woman on the scene, before transporting her to a nearby hospital helipad, where the LifeFlight pilot had safely landed the aircraft.
The woman, aged in her 30s, was flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for further treatment.
