The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted two young motocross riders to hospital, after separate incidents at the same recreational park (Saturday 30th March).
The most recent crash occurred just before 3pm at the park in the South Burnett region.
The pilot landed the aircraft at the scene where the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic assisted QAS paramedics in treating the rider for an arm injury and possible concussion.
It’s believed he had been riding around the course when he collided with another rider.
He was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
In the earlier mission this morning at the same location, the aeromedical crew treated a primary school aged boy who had fallen from his bike while riding with family and friends.
He suffered a suspected concussion and was airlifted to Queensland Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
