The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter crew airlifted a teenage boy to hospital this afternoon, after he was injured in a motorbike accident.
The rescue chopper was tasked to a moto park in the Somerset region at 10am.
The LifeFlight medical team worked with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the patient for head injuries.
He was then airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital for further treatment.
Tasked by Queensland Ambulance Service, the LifeFlight SGAS helicopter and crew performed this mission as part of the SGAS partners’ commitment to providing community aeromedical coverage.
