The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew airlifted a man to hospital yesterday, Wednesday 26 March, after a swimming incident.
The crew was tasked to the scene near Agnes Waters at 3.50pm after a man in his 70s was found face down in the water.
Bystanders pulled the unresponsive man from the water and commenced CPR before he was stabilised by local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics.
He was further treated by the LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic and flown to Bundaberg Hospital in a critical condition.
