The Brisbane-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a boy to hospital after a toboggan incident on Moreton Island.
The rescue chopper was tasked at 12.16pm and the crew was able to land on a helipad near the incident.
The patient was treated by local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics who transported him from the scene to an awaiting LifeFlight helicopter.
He was further treated by the LifeFlight critical care doctor and QAS flight paramedic for head and neck injuries.
He was taken to Queensland Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
