The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted an elderly man to hospital, after he fell five metres from a tree.
The rescue aircraft was called to the Noosa region, around 11.40 this morning following the incident at a private property.
The pilot landed the chopper at a nearby oval, where the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor treated the patient, who had been transported from the scene by local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics.
The man, who is aged in his 70s, suffered significant chest injuries.
He was flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for further treatment.
