The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew have flown a man to hospital, after he was injured in a hang-gliding incident this afternoon.
It’s believed the man had crashed to the ground from around 15 metres in the air, in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
The aeromedical crew was called into action around 1pm (Saturday 28th January) and the pilot was able to land near the scene.
The medical team joined Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics in treating the man for multiple injuries.
The patient, aged in his 50s, was then flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, in a stable condition.
