The Land Rover LifeFlight Special Mission helicopter crew members performed their latest rigorous training exercise, in Moreton Bay this week, ensuring they’re ready for any emergency.
The crew worked alongside members of the Redcliffe Coast Guard to hone their search, rescue and water winching skills.
The inter-agency training included vessel transfers, raft drops and winching out of the water.
The Land Rover LifeFlight Special Mission helicopter is the newest addition to the LifeFlight helicopter fleet.
It is a fully integrated aircraft, which can operate in extreme situations – from offshore in the wildest ocean conditions, to the most rugged and hostile inland environments.
The human-machine interface, aircraft type, specialist mission equipment, technology, experienced aeromedical crews, location and availability all combine to make the Land Rover LifeFlight Special Mission helicopter the only aircraft of its type, available for immediate deployment by civil agencies, in Australia and beyond.
