LifeFlight airlifts man after fall from horse

The LifeFlight Sunshine Coast-based aeromedical crew today airlifted a man to hospital after he fell from a horse.

The aircraft was tasked to a private property in the Gympie region at 8:38am.

The crew were able to land the helicopter on the property near the incident.

The LifeFlight medical crew worked with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the patient for back injuries.

The man, aged in his 50s, was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

An hour later, the rescue helicopter was tasked to a motorbike incident in the Fraser Coast region.

The patient, aged in his 60s, was flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with chest and leg injuries.
