The LifeFlight Sunshine Coast-based aeromedical crew yesterday airlifted an adult male from K’gari, after the gyrocopter he was in crashed.
The chopper was tasked to the west side of the island at 12.43pm.
The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient for spinal, chest and limb injuries.
The patient was flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
