The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a woman to hospital after a quadbike incident.
The woman aged in her 40s was riding on a private property in the Bundaberg region when her quadbike rolled and pinned her by the leg.
Hours later, her partner found her trapped under the quadbike and raised the alarm with emergency services.
A multi-agency response included the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS), Queensland Fire Department (QFD) and the Queensland Police Service (QPS).
The LifeFlight helicopter landed on a hill close to the incident after being tasked at 5.10pm.
The LifeFlight critical care doctor and flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient for a leg injury.
The woman was freed from under the bike and stabilised before being airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital for further treatment.
