The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a man to hospital after he crashed the motorbike he was riding in the Toowoomba region, earlier today (Sun 9 June).
The chopper was called into action shortly after 12:30pm.
The pilot landed the aircraft in a paddock, a short distance from the incident scene.
It’s believed the middle-aged man was riding his motorcycle around a bend when he lost control and veered off the road, crashing into a bush.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic assisted local QAS paramedics in treating the patient for multiple injuries.
He was airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
