The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown two seriously injured women to hospital, after a truck and car collided, on a highway in the Scenic Rim.
The rescue aircraft was sent to the scene around 11.30am (Sunday 27 September).
The pilot landed the helicopter on the road, which had been closed off by Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers.
The aeromedical crew worked with Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat and stabilise the patients.
The driver of the truck, aged in her 40s, suffered a leg injury and possible internal injuries.
A woman who had been travelling in the car, aged in her 30s, suffered an arm injury.
They were both flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
