Toowoomba’s RACQ LifeFlight rescue helicopter has airlifted a man to hospital, after a motorbike accident in the Southern Downs this afternoon (Sunday 4th Oct).
The rescue chopper departed base just after 12:30pm, and flew directly to a private motocross park.
It’s believed the rider had been travelling along a dirt track, when he lost control and crashed down a four metre embankment.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics transported the man to the waiting helicopter, where the aeromedical team assisted in treating him for lower back injuries.
He was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, in a stable condition.
This is the seventh motorcycle accident RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crews have attended, since Friday afternoon.
