A motorbike rider has been airlifted by Bundaberg’s RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter this afternoon, after he was seriously injured in a crash.
It’s believed the motorbike he was riding and a car collided, south of Bundaberg.
The chopper was called into action just before 12.30pm.
The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Critical Care Flight Paramedic and other QAS paramedics treated the rider, aged in his 70s, for multiple injuries.
He was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter also airlifted another man after an off-road motorbike accident, in the North Burnett, yesterday afternoon (Saturday 29 February).
