The Brisbane-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew has airlifted a man, after he was critically injured in a single vehicle accident, this afternoon. (Sun 12th April)
It’s believed his ute ran off a road and crashed, in the Fraser Coast region.
The rescue helicopter was sent to the scene around 3.30pm and landed in a field, beside the road.
The aeromedical crew worked with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat and stabilise the patient, for the flight to Brisbane.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) personnel were also on scene.
The man, aged in his 70s, was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, in a critical but stable condition.
