The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown an injured man to hospital, after he crashed his motorbike through a barbed wire fence, this morning.
The rescue helicopter was called to the scene in the Sunshine Coast hinterland region, shortly before 10am. (16th May).
The chopper landed in a paddock, close to the accident site.
It’s believed the motorcyclist was riding across a bridge, when he lost control of his bike, which left the road, crashed through the wire fence and landed in a paddock.
Local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics and the RACQ LifeFlight QAS Flight Paramedic treated the rider, aged in his fifties, for chest injuries.
He was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
