The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown a man to hospital, after he was injured in a motor vehicle crash, this morning.
The rescue chopper was sent to the scene, north east of Landsborough, just before 7:30am.
It’s believed a ute and four wheel drive collided head-on, on a stretch of hinterland road.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics, Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers and Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) firefighters were all in attendance, when the chopper arrived.
QPS personnel had closed the road, so the helicopter pilot was able to land the aircraft as close to the patient, as possible.
An RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic treated a man, who’d reportedly been driving the black ute, for serious head injuries.
He was flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, in a serious but stable condition.
