An RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown an injured motorcyclist to hospital, after he came off his bike, on a road north of Gympie.
The Sunshine Coast-based aeromedical crew was called into action at 12.30 this afternoon (Saturday 23 October).
The pilot was able to land the helicopter in a paddock near the scene, where Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics had already started treating the man for suspected head, pelvis and arm injuries.
He was moved into the aircraft and transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic.
The rider, aged in his 60s, travelled in a stable condition.
