The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a teenager to hospital after he was injured in a motocross incident this morning (Sunday 10th October).
It’s believed the boy was riding his motorbike at a track in the Toowoomba region, when he came off, suffering back, neck and shoulder injuries as a result.
The rescue chopper was called to attend at around midday.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter pilot managed to land the aircraft at the scene, where the aeromedical team met with Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Paramedics to treat the patient.
He was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, in a stable condition, under the care of the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic.
