The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a woman to hospital after she lost control of the truck she was driving and crashed into tree, early this morning (Sunday, 21 January).
The pilot landed the helicopter on a closed road near the accident scene, in the Somerset region, just after 5am.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic worked alongside local paramedics to treat the woman for multiple leg injuries.
The Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) and the Queensland Police Service (QPS) were also on scene.
The woman, aged in her 50s, was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition, for further treatment.
