The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown a woman to hospital, after she was injured in an all terrain vehicle (ATV) rollover this morning (Sunday 26th September).Â
The rescue chopper was called to a private property, south of Gympie, just after 10am.Â
It’s believed the driver of the ATV had been attempting to make a turn at low speed, when they lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll.
The patient was front passenger.Â
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics, Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) firefighters and Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers were on the scene, when the aeromedical team arrived.Â
The woman was treated for arm injuries, before being flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in a stable condition.Â
She flew under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic.Â
