Rescue chopper airlifts man after quad bike crash

The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a man to hospital, after he was injured in a quad bike crash this afternoon.

It’s believed the man, aged in his 20s, had been riding the vehicle through a National Park, in the Bundaberg region, when the crash occurred.

The rescue chopper was sent to the scene around 3:30pm, where the pilot was able to land nearby.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic treated the man for multiple suspected fractures and stabilised him for his flight to Bundaberg Hospital.
